2019 Hemmings Motor News Concours d’Elegance Sneak Peek: 1935 Chrysler Airstream Convertible

Diehard Mopar enthusiasts will tell you 1935 has been a year for the Chrysler division. Acceptance of the Airflow versions that are designed was still far below expectations, even prompting engineers and designers to restyle the front end — especially the hood — to a more contemporary appearance. The bulk of Chrysler ’ s generation happened within their line with Airflow earnings aggressively. Of those two, the Airstream Six (or Series C-6) accounted for 50 percent of Chrysler’s total model-year production. The Series C-6 was to be offered in seven body styles (and a chassis/cowl unit), such as the pictured and infrequent two-door convertible.
Together with their collective assistance, the 13th-annual party of vintage vehicles will occur on September 13-15 in The Festival Commons in Charles R. Wood Park, at Lake George, New York.
